SPACE X "Falcon-9 v1.1 / Dragon"

CRS-6 (Cargo Resupply Services Mission 6)

SpaceX successfully launched the Falcon 9 v1.1 CRS-6 on April 14, 2015 from Space Launch Complex 40 (SCL-40) of the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station becoming the Sixth Cargo Resupply Services Mission.

Dragon SpX-6 carries no external payload inside the trunk for this mission. The trunk is empty but the Dragon capsule is loaded with more than 4300 pounds of supplies and payloads including GLACIER freezers, Rodent Research 2 Experiment, the Arkyd 3 Reflight, and Earth Observation Cubesat satellites.

Same as the last mission, SpaceX has installed Grid Fins and landing legs on the Falcon rocket in order to attempt to land on a barge called the Autonomous Spaceport Droid Ship off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida. For this mission, the Dragon logo has been replaced with a new logo depicting a Dragon's head. The logos are located on the Solar panel casings.

The AXM version for the Falcon-9 v1.1 / Dragon papermodel was made possible from NASA's photo gallery website.

Enjoy the photos and the model!
