STS-88 Payload "UNITY" Node 1

Space Shuttle Endeavour was launched on Dec.4, 1998 on the First mission to assemble the International Space Station carrying the Node 1 module "UNITY". The main objective was the mating with the russian module "Zarya" which was in orbit at the time. This was the first step in the ISS assembly process.

This papermodel of Node 1 has two versions, one for the payload bay and the second for Station assembly. Also the 1:100 scale version of the model is included in the main file. The difference is more details on the exterior of the module and more handrails as well. Information was obtained through NASA website and the photo gallery section. Other technical information was obtained from Robotics and EVA documentation for this mission as well.

This module is available via Paypal.
