STS-125 Payload / Hubble Servicing Mission 4

Space Shuttle Atlantis STS-125 was successfully launched on May 11th, 2009 to the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) on its way to complete its last servicing mission. It carried the Wide Field Camera 3 (WFC III), Fine Guidance System (FGS), and the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph (COS) to help improve Hubble’s systems and extend its life to at least 2014. Atlantis landed safely at Edwards Air Force Base on May 24, 2009 two days after the scheduled landing due to unacceptable weather at KSC.

For this model, the payload detail was made possible thanks to NASA's photo Gallery, and NASA's Flightdata files.

Enjoy!
