STS-123 Payload (1J/A Assembly phase)

Space Shuttle Endeavour was launched on March 11, 2008 on a mission to the ISS carrying the Japanese Experiment Logistic Module - Pressurized section, and DEXTRE (Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator). It was one of the most challenging missions ever to take place, with 5 record EVA's. Endeavour was docked to the station for 12 days, a record.

On this mission the MISSE-6 experiments were installed on the Columbus module, on its lower external payload facility. The JEM Logistics module is the first component of the KIBO system. Future Shuttle missions will deliver the KIBO pressurized module and the JEM-EF.
