STS-113 Payload / 11A

Space Shuttle Endeavour was launched on Nov 23rd, 2002 on Assembly mission 11A to the International Space Station, carrying the P1 truss. The 45 foot long truss will be attached to the Port side of S0 truss. The P1 truss is a mirror image of the previously launched S1 truss. Another highlight of Endeavour's mission is bringing Expedition 6 crew to replace the Expedition 5.

This truss contains a UHF-band communications system antenna ; CETA 2 cart, which will serve as a mobile work platform for astronauts during EVA's and the second Thermal Radiatior Rotary Joint (TRRJ).

A secondary payload is the Pico Satellite Inspector payload (PICOSAT/MEPSI). This payload consists of a launcher like a box that houses 2 small deployable satellites. Both miniature satellites are attached to each other with a tether.

The design and construction of this paper model was based on this mission's Shuttlekit and Robotics documentation from NASA website.

The model is available as a combo kit along with the STS-112 mission. Cost is $5.50 US Dollars.

Enjoy this model!
