STS-92 Payload Z1 / PMA-3 (Assembly Stage 3A)

Space Shuttle Discovery was launched on Oct 11, 2000 on a mission to the ISS carrying the Z1 Truss and PMA-3. On this mission, Discovery docked to the ISS via PMA2 on "Unity". The Z1 Truss was placed on the zenith (top) port of Unity and the PMA3 on the nadir (bottom) port. The Z1 Truss carried the first SASA antenna which was relocated on Z1 from its launch configuration to a temporarily position. This antenna will be relocated on the next mission to the top of the P6 Truss. This is the only time on which the Orbiter Docking System was covered with a thermal blanket.

Information from different sources were available to make this model as accurate as possible considering the scale. Robotics and EVA information from NASA website was obtained. This module is available via Paypal in both scales.

UPDATE: (9/5/08) The 1:100 scale version of the PMA-3 is available for FREE at the bottom of this page. Also different configurations of the SASA antenna and the MISSE-6 experiment for the Columbus module.
